How do I get started?
Fill out the interest form and tell Nathan a bit about yourself: your goals, schedule, and any injuries or health history worth knowing. If it looks like a good fit, he'll reach out to discuss next steps and send an invoice. Your spot on the schedule isn't confirmed until payment is received.

What is the first session like?
We spend time talking through your lifting background (if any) and any medical issues we'll be working around. A short nutrition conversation follows. Then we move into an exercise screening to check your current mobility and strength levels. That data lets Nathan build a program fully tailored to your exact needs. The session wraps up with an overview of where the program is headed and scheduling future sessions.
When do I pay?
Payment is required before your first session. Nathan sends an invoice once you've agreed to move forward. Your spot on the schedule is not confirmed until it's paid. Members pay monthly at a discounted rate (10% off for pre-paying). Additional sessions in a given month are charged at the start of the next billing cycle.
How can I pay?
After Nathan sends an invoice, you can pay via Stripe through a bank account. He also accepts Venmo, Zelle, PayPal, and personal checks.
What should I bring and wear?
Bring your signed waiver (required before any workout), a water bottle, and a towel if you'd like. Wear athletic clothing with no metal except zipper pulls. Rings must be removed before lifting. This is a serious safety requirement.
What is your cancellation policy?
Non-members: 16 hours' notice required before your session start time, or you'll be charged in full.

Members: Monthly membership includes a set number of short-notice cancellations that can be made up within 14 days (the makeup day must exceed your membership frequency by one day).

Included short-notice cancellations:
  • 1 session/month for 1–2x/week packages
  • 2 sessions/month for 3–4x/week packages
Beyond that limit, missed sessions without 16 hours' notice are forfeited with no refund. You are responsible for contacting Nathan to cancel.
What about uncontrollable emergencies?
Life happens. When a genuine emergency occurs, contact Nathan and he'll work something out.
What if I no-call no-show?
No-call no-showing tells Nathan you're not serious about training together. He doesn't continue working with clients who go that route.
What happens if Nathan misses a session?
He strives for perfection, but it has happened. Whether you're a member or not, you'll receive a free makeup session that you can use at your convenience.
What age do I need to be?
For insurance purposes Nathan works exclusively with clients 18 and older.
What about varying session counts in a month?
If you've used all your sessions before month end, additional sessions are charged at the start of your next subscription cycle at the same per-session rate as your current membership.
What is Cronometer?
Cronometer is a calorie and activity tracker Nathan uses with all clients. The learning curve is small, the goal-setting options are solid, and its minimal design keeps it from being annoying to use daily. Included with every membership.
Can you help me reach my weight-loss goal?
It depends on how committed you are. Nathan is a personal trainer, not with you 24/7. If you can make some diet adjustments, success is very likely. But hitting your calorie and cardio goals outside the gym is your responsibility.
